Changes galore!!!

So it's safe to say I made it to graduation, lol......but this blog needs to change names because my life is (SADLY) no longer on the Monterey Penninsula!!! Boo I know.....but my time there came to a close and I am now in the glitz and glamor (yeah right, lol) of Reno! haha....so one day I'll get all the info right and update this once and for all!

What happened to my 8 weeks????? Ahhhhhh, lol...........

Woo-hoo!!! 8 weeks to go!!!!

I bought my cap and gown today, no turning back now!...not that I would want to.  And, even though it's been a long journey.....a REALLY long journey, it's not quite over yet. I'm still pushing to make it through but today felt really good, kind of surreal---especially because I'm sick, but none the less it felt good. 

As I wandered around the UC ballroom, I watched all the different faces that were around me.  Some I recognized, some I didn't but today we were all connected.  The happiness, excitement, hugs, and smiles all meant the same thing.  We were all proud, of ourselves and of each other.  Today was my reminder that I am not alone on this journey.  As I walked around, I could imagine all the stories behind all the faces, and it calmed me.  It made me take a deep breath and say it's going to be okay.  

I am grateful for today, for the opportunity to slow down a minute and look around and appreciate everything I'm going through (Good AND bad).  No one's road in life is easy, it's not supposed to be. If it was easy to get to where I am now, it just wouldn't mean as much.  So here's to the last 8 weeks of the semester and all that it may bring! :)

Well I'm all coffee'd up and ready to get to work! Whew! Time is STILL flying by and I haven't had a chance to write about all the things I am getting to do this semester! And I still won't be able to right now, lol....But, in the meantime I want to say that Commencement will be on Saturday, May 21st at 10am! Woo-hoo!!  I will going to Gradfest on Tuesday to purchase my cap and gown and all that good stuff.....Yikes! I can see the finish line folks! ....Let's hope that I can keep surviving and give everything my all, I'm trying REALLY hard, and it's definitely not easy! 

On another note, my Catalina is now a big 10 year old and I can't believe it.  Luv ya Caitlin and am glad you had fun on your B-Day!!

Oh and I "officially" start my internship with the National Steinbeck Center on Friday, wish me luck! It's going to be intense! But my new motto is the little engine that could....."I think I can!"  :)  Now it's back to work....I'll post again when I can!

Time flies when your having .....FUN?

Is that what I'm having?? FUN?? LOL...because it's all been a blur.  I don't even know where to begin.  So much to do and so little time, I didn't realize it would all go THIS fast.  I am trying to stay on top of things but it's been very hard.  I had an unexpected ....let's say....dental "situation" (don't sue me Mike Sorentino....LMAO), which put me out of commission for awhile and is still a bit painful.  I'm behind in school work and am trying desperately to stay afloat of everything, but I probably should not have 20 units this semester.  My quest for knowledge was too great! haha ....j/k.  They are all classes I love, but I just didn't quite expect it to be so hard to stay on top of them all.  I think my mind is swirling with all the "what if's" in my head right now.  What if....I can't find a job....can't get an internship....can't do this...do that....it's all a blur.  I'm trying to hang in there and do my best, somehow some way I always make it work, but this time it's going to be harder than ever! Wish me luck!

Time flies when your having fun....or RESTING :)

So I realized that I haven't blogged at all this year! Whoa......well I needed the rest what can I say. :)  Any who, Happy New Year to all you out there in blog land, I hope 2011 is treating you alright.  Tomorrow is my first day of my last semester.  So excited, and petrified at the same time! Ha! But I know this will be a great journey and something I won't soon forget.  I hope the days go by slow so I can enjoy every minute I have left here in Monterey, I love it here so much.  But change is good and I am ready for the next chapter and I hope to have some great adventures in my future! :D
